Privacy policy
The short version: your blood pressure readings live on your device and never leave it. We have no accounts and no servers that could hold your data. For a health app, we believe that is the only acceptable design. The one thing the app does send is an anonymous crash report when something goes wrong, so we can fix it.
01Who we are
Cuff is developed by Argon Labs LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Cuff mobile app and this website, argonlabsllc.com/cuff. Questions? Email cuff@argonlabsllc.com.
02What the app collects: crash reports only
Cuff does not require an account and contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Your readings, notes, tags, profiles, medications, and any Apple Health data are never transmitted anywhere. We do not collect, receive, store, sell, or share any health information.
The single exception is crash reporting. When the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, it sends a diagnostic report through Sentry, our error-monitoring provider, so we can find and fix the bug. A report contains technical information about the failure:
- The error and the code path that produced it (a stack trace).
- Device model, operating system version, and Cuff version.
- A random identifier used to group repeated crashes from the same install. It is not linked to you and does not follow you across apps.
Crash reports never include your readings, notes, or anything else you enter. We have disabled Sentry's optional collection of personally identifying information, along with its performance tracing and session replay features. Reports are used only to diagnose and fix defects, and are never sold or shared for advertising. In the App Store privacy label this appears as “Crash Data,” not linked to you and not used for tracking.
03Where your readings live
Everything you enter in Cuff — readings, notes, tags, profiles — is stored in a local database on your device. It is included in your device backups (e.g. iCloud or encrypted local backups) under the standard iOS backup rules you control. Deleting the app permanently deletes this data from your device. If you want a copy first, Cuff Pro's CSV export and PDF report both generate files locally that you can save wherever you choose.
04Apple Health (optional)
Cuff Pro includes an optional two-way sync with Apple Health: writing your readings into Health, and importing blood pressure or heart rate samples that another device (such as a smart cuff) already saved there. This integration:
- is off by default and works only if you grant permission in the standard iOS Health dialog;
- moves data only between the app and your own Health store, on your device;
- never transmits Health data anywhere — not to us, and not in crash reports;
- can be revoked at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
We never receive, see, or store your Health data. Apple's own rules additionally prohibit using HealthKit data for advertising, and we could not do so even in principle — your health data never leaves your phone.
05Purchases
Cuff is free to download with a single one-time in-app purchase, processed entirely by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy. We never see your name, payment details, or billing address.
06This website
The Cuff website is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and requested page) to operate and secure the service, as described in the provider's own privacy documentation. The downloadable blood pressure log template is a plain PDF — downloading it requires no email address and is not tracked.
07Email support
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and keep it only as long as needed to help you. We never add you to mailing lists or share your address. Please don't include health details you aren't comfortable sending by email — we don't need your readings to help with app problems.
08Children
Cuff is intended for adults tracking their own blood pressure or caring for a family member. The app has no account system and collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Crash reports contain only technical diagnostics about a failure, never personal details, and we make no attempt to identify who sent one.
09Your rights
Privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, and health-specific rules give you rights over personal data a company holds about you. Everything you enter in Cuff is already fully in your hands, on your device, so there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete. We hold no account records. Crash reports are technical diagnostics that are not linked to your identity, so we generally cannot connect one to a particular person — but if you contact us with the details, we will locate and delete any report we can identify as yours. Support emails you have sent us will also be deleted on request.
10Changes to this policy
If we ever change how Cuff works in a way that affects privacy, we will update this policy first and note the change prominently here and in the app's release notes. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
- September 23, 2026 — added crash reporting (Sentry) so we can find and fix bugs. No change to how your readings are stored: they remain on your device only.
- July 11, 2026 — first version of this policy.
